Born in Los Angeles, Lucha VaVOOM  thrashed, thrived and thrilled audiences starting in 2002.

Miss Rita’s Lucha VaVOOM was born on June 3rd, 2023 on the streets of Paris, playing for over 35,000 screaming fans of all ages. Luchadors from Mexico, 

performers from LA and Miss Rita took Paris by storm. Rita’s vision for the rebirth of Lucha VaVOOM is even more bonkers, crazy & unpredictable.  An explosion of highly entertaining expertise and absurdity, we are coming to your town to shake the foundations with thundering Luchadors, electrifying performers and the energy that only an anything-can-happen happening can bring!!!!

We are unapologetic in our mission to bring FUN back to civilization and will stop at nothing til we’ve conquered the known universe! 

WHAT YOU WILL SEE:

Authentic Lucha Libre; Mexican Masked wrestlers are brought in from  Mexico, the U.S., and parts unknown.  Good vs. evil played out in quick, exhibition-style, one-fall Lucha Libre matches for maximum impact.  It’s like watching a live action cartoon performed at break-neck speed.

Between matches we’ve added top-shelf variety acts from around the world. From musical acts like PEACHES, to featured performers such as Drag Race Winner VIOLET CHACHKI, 12-time Guinness Record Holder MARAWA THE AMAZING, roller skating dare-devils THE LA ROLLER GIRLS, we strive to present the craziest, 

loveliest, most talented artists with that certain raw-energy that only our performers can bring to such a full-force, glam-slam night out.

During the matches, we feature color commentary provided by some of the best comedians in the business; joining host Blaine Capatch is anyone from Dana Gould, Tom Kenny (Spongebob!), Patton Oswalt, Drew Carey, Greg Proops, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Ron Funches.

Our first co-host was Fred Armisen. Even Jack Black has sat in, proclaiming “Lucha VaVOOM is some good sh*t y’all!”

All these elements Glam-Slam together and explode into one wild night!
